    2008 - Present
    Zink Partners is a specialty consulting firm providing income enhancement and cost reduction advice to owners and operators of multifamily housing nationwide. The firm handles both individual asset assignments as well as counsel on complex portfolio and corporate structural concerns. Recent assignments have included organizational redesign, strategic redeployment of real estate assets, the retargeting of marketing programs and creating measurable standards and benchmarks for improved leasing results. In addition to providing hands-on services for turnaround and value-restoration assignments, Zink Partners offers multifamily management firms access to innovative and targeted Business Process Optimization services affording savings on corporate accounting costs.
    2012 - 2012
    Lifeline works closely with lenders and distressed homeowners to offer a scalable solution to avoid the foreclosure process with visible financial and social benefits to all parties involved. Innovative and intuitive systems are used to avoid the personal and financial losses that a foreclosure typically entails. Distressed homeowners receive an opportunity to rebuild their finances by becoming renters in their own homes and communities benefit by the maintenance of neighborhood stability. Lifepoint Property Management is a the wholly owned subsidiary of Lifeline, created to provide property management services of exceptional quality for the company’s owned portfolio of single family homes. Mr. Zink served as Vice President of Lifeline and as COO of the management company.
    2008 - 2008
    Founded in 2004, Mission residential was a multifamily real estate investment and operating company based in Oakton, Virginia, that acquired and managed apartment communities across the United States. Mission managed forty communities with 12,000 apartment homes in North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee and Utah. At Mission, Mr. Zink served as SVP of Operations and participated in the restructuring of the firms’ organizational design and quality assurance practices.
    2005 - 2008
    Condominium Rental Services was developed as a compliment to the sales activities of American Invsco, the nation’s leading condominium converter.Starting from a base of approximately 300 investor-owned units, CRS grew by 2007, to handling over 3,000 individually owned condo units in Illinois, Florida and Nevada. In Chicago, CRS consolidated the city’s “shadow market” of rental condominiums into an organized market, competing effectively against traditional rental buildings in the downtown and Near North markets.
    2001 - 2004
    Equity Residential, a publicly traded REIT is the largest publicly traded owner, operator and developer of multifamily housing in the United States with more than 550 properties in 23 states and the District of Columbia. An S&P 500 company, EQR has been named one of America's Most Admired Companies by Fortune magazine. Mr. Zink developed and lead the Strategic and Advisory services department at EQR, applying intensive management to under-performing properties and properties in disposition. The department handled approximately 11,000 apartment units, primarily in secondary markets.
    1988 - 2002
    In 1988, Mr. Zink and seven other management professionals organized and founded this Chicago affiliate chapter of the National Apartment Association. He served as the Association’s first President and served several terms as a member of its board of directors.
    1999 - 2000
    Aimco is a real estate investment trust (REIT) headquartered in Denver, Colorado that owns and operates a geographically diversified portfolio of apartment communities. Aimco, through its subsidiaries and affiliates, is one of the largest owners and operators of apartment communities in the United States with 900 properties, including over 140,000 apartment units. Mr. Zink, who joined Aimco through its acquisition of Insignia Residential, oversaw the company’s Chicago Regional Operating Center and its large portfolio of affordable and market rate apartments.
    1989 - 1999
    Zink Partners operated as specialty property management and consulting firm specializing in value-added and value restoration services to institutional property owners. The firm handled assignments on a nationwide basis with an emphasis on troubled assets or assets in disposition situations. Mr. Zink served as Court-appointed Receiver on over thirty occasions. The firm also provided consulting services to property owners and to management firms. In 1999 the company's management agreements were sold to Insignia Residential.
    1983 - 1989
    Johnstown was the nation’s largest apartment owner and manager during the 1980’s. Generally considered as a leader in innovation, marketing and enhanced property performance, Johnstown developed and implemented the first site-based property operating software with computers installed on all its sites. Johnstown also operated the country’s most advanced and comprehensive training facility for property management and maintenance. Mr. Zink managed a significant portfolio of apartment and commercial properties across the northern half of the United States.
