    Kathy led Recruiting at Lawson Products Inc., an International seller and distributor of systems, services and products to the industrial, commercial and institutional maintenance, repair and replacement marketplace with subsidiaries in Canada and Mexico. Specializing in fastening systems, cutting tools, chemicals, abrasives, hydraulics and automotive products. Lawson has been listed as a "Top 25 Service Company to Sell For" 7 years in a row by Selling Power.As part of the Leadership Team Kathy played a large role in successfully implementing key initiatives. Kathy redesigned the sales and corporate recruiting function to support the Sales Transformation. She built a Recruiting Dashboard for at a glance results and status for managers. Kathy played an essential part on the Nu Media team where she partnered to brand Lawson consistently across all social and web media. She significantly reduced recruiting costs and increased efficiencies with limited resources. She was able to attract high quality talent and bring improved recruiting processes to her team and customers.

    Responsible for full life cycle recruiting for the IT business @ Navistar. Filled over 135 positions on contract. Developed long term relationships, conducted behavioral interviewing screenings and post interview evaluations.

    Founded in 1936 by Emmett Culligan, Culligan provides state-of-the-art products to a network of more than 800 franchised dealers and corprate sites and guarantees that you get the right product for your specific water needs. Kathy led the recruiting team resulting in raising the bar of the level of candidates brought to the firm.
    2006 - 2006
    Contracted as Staffing Lead to build Merchandising Group. Supported CMO, COO and EVP of Merchandising for this $4B office products industry leader.
    2005 - 2006
    Contracted Internal Staffing Consultant @ United Asset Coverage, Inc. (UAC), the leading provider of integrated telecomcomunications and data networking maintenance services, was founded in 1997. UAC offers clients a new, proven way to manage the financial risk of maintaining their technology infrastructure by giving them increased control, choice and savings over their maintenance programs. UAC has a national presence and is a privately-held company.
    2004 - 2004
    Set the course for new and improved professional/technical staffing strategies, processes and procedures to carry the function forward as a center of excellence. Served as lead of Core Selection Process Improvement Team on HR Life Cycle Project. Performed as subject matter expert for talent acquisition of the leaders of the organization. Worked with other staffing leaders, HRDs and other peers to improve consistency with HR policies and procedures. Received 3.83 cultural survey rating and multiple Leadership Awards and accolades.
    2001 - 2003
    As VP/HR my position was responsible for building relationships and staffing the Investment Banking, Private Wealth Groups and professional corporate groups of Harris/Bank of Montreal. Harris outsourced their HR and staffing functions to Exult and I participated in the transition of the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing).
    2000 - 2002
    Focal Communications (now Broadwing), a national communications provider offering voice and data services to communications-intensive users was one of the fastest growing companies in Chicago. My responsibility was to build and manage a national staffing function. Accomplishments include cost savings in excess of $5M by establishing a centralized vendor program, cross functional departmental training, development of targeted national media campaign, increased awareness and effectiveness of internal referral program, implemented an applicant tracking system, participated on Human Capital Leadership Team and developed an Employee Orientation Satisfaction Survey.
