BiographySergey Ryabtsev plays violin and provides backing vocals for the Gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello. He was born in 1958 in Gorky City, in Russia. In 1994, he emigrated to the United States and joined Gogol Bordello in 2000. In the 2005 movie Everything Is Illuminated, the 2006 documentary film The Pied Piper of Hutzovina as well as in Madonna's 2008 directorial debut Filth and Wisdom, he appeared alongside the other band members of Gogol Bordello.
