    2005 - 2009
    Serving as the writer and production person in producing user guides, system administrator and maintenance manuals, API and data model guides, and software requirements. Redirected the documentation policies and the “look and feel” to establish a consistent, professional presentation for the company. Adapted all documentation to Adobe FrameMaker and Adobe PDF and invented a FrameMaker to XML Help solution.
    2002 - 2005

Redirected the documentation policies and the “look and feel” to establish a consistent, professional presentation for the company. Adapted all documentation to MS Word and Adobe PDF.
    1999 - 2001
    Led a team of technical writers in the development of a single-source XML-help project. Wrote source text in FrameMaker files and then exported context-sensitive topics to an XML-help system. Wrote XSL to make the FrameMaker XML-output usable and compatible with the DocBook Document Type Definition/Schema and organized topics into a table of contents, keyword index, and alphabetized glossary. Compiled and collaborated with other XSL developers to parse the resulting XML into 1,400+ html files in four languages. Used Dreamweaver to edit special case html files for affiliated software. Used XSL and an Access database and Excel to keep track of and produce reports on needed topics and topics produced.
    1995 - 1999
    As a continuous Senior Technical Writer for ABT Corporation and Niku Corporation in Petaluma, California, since 1995, was called upon and accomplished the most challenging technological and production tasks involving all types of online help, user, and internal documentation. Wrote and maintained API and System Administrator publications as well as end-user UI and educational materials. Leading member of team designing and producing new software. Used PageMaker to produce migrated documents from previous software documentation. Tested software both in the course of documentation and using formal testing scenarios and reported problems per bug reports.
    1991 - 1995
    As a freelance technical writer and desktop publisher, wrote and produced three software manuals and their Windows help files. As a desktop publisher, produced technical manuals and one 376 page book with illustrations and indexing. Wrote one 300+ page text book on dBASE IV 2.0 for DOS, which was written for and published by Glencoe. Wrote and produced several Instructor Manuals for software text books. Wrote and produced 184 page supplemental text book Spreadsheet Exercises and Applications for Business Math published by Prentice Hall.
    1990 - 1991
    As Editorial Coordinator of Window Magazine, was responsible for all aspects of color magazine production using the Windows PC medium. My duties included coordination of the editorial and production staff efforts, technical writing on Windows and OS/2 software and supporting hardware, image processing and page layout, LAN support, and film production. Also advised and coordinated the work of advertisers to include their film material in the magazine.
    1989 - 1990
    As the Director of Education at Sawyer College, a business college serving multi-lingual young and career changing adults, provided staff leadership, personnel selection, and instructor training. Also did curriculum development designing a paralegal training program and enhancing the existing computer, typing, business skills and basic math, English, and writing skills programs.
