Qwhich one of these would you recommend to an 18 year old american student wishing to go study in a british university? liverpool hope uni, leeds trinity and all saints, winchester uni, university of east anglia, canterbury christ church uni, ? or u can recomend me any other universities in england that u think is good

Qim currently in my first year at college studying Critical Thinking, Sociology and Psychology. However, im not doing brilliant.Im expecting to get an 2 E's at A level.There is a course at winchester university which only needs 80 ucas points. This course is journalism, i love writing, so it seems ok. Its a 2 year diploma course with the option of the 3rd year for the full degree.However im worried that with me only likely to get 80 points, students with better grades will take the places instead.Also, i havent got a GCSE (or equivalent) in ICT. Will this be a setback? I can however work a computor as capably as anyone i know and working on one is not an issue. Just havent got the grade to prove it.Winchester is the only university near me that offers such a course so im kind of putting all my eggs in one basket if you like.Does anyone know if my chances are limited?BTW i got 9 GCSE's so im not dumb. just picked the wrong A levels i guess. thanks for any help.

QI've been accepted in the University of Worcester and the University of Winchester. But the problem is that I do not know how do both universities look like. Can anyone suggest me which is better of the two?

QI went to a private boarding school, and have never been particulary clever. I did okay in my A levels and got into Winchester University which is not well known. The problem is I am being persecuted because of the background I'm from, people making jibes at me because they think I'm posh, so much so that I don't leave my room often and miss lectures. I know I have got to leave the place as I can't put up with it any longer and am miserable but don't want to be a failure in life. I have to start my life again elsewhere. Could someone give me advise or encouragement? Thank you.

QI've recieved conditional offers from Manchester Metropolitan University and Winchester University. They both offered me 300 UCAS points but only Winchester takes my AS grade which I recieved last year into account when calculating the whole 300 points. This means that I would only need A,C,C grades to get into Winchester along with my AS grade which I got last year. But in Manchester I would need to get A, B, C this year. My question is can I firm Manchester and have Winchester as an insurance even though they've given me the same offer of 300 points? Because technically I need lower grades this year for Winchester.toscamo - I did contact the admissions and they said they do not accept AS grades. They really should since it's actually half of an actual A Level and as you said it's part of the UCAS tariff, but yeah if I can firm and insurance any offers then I will have Winchester as a back up :) x
