Best Answer : by Karl at 22 June 2010 06:06:25 I have got a conditional for uni. I need a B in higher maths and a B in advanced Higher computing.?Higher Education (University +) at 28 March 2011 03:03:17 QI'm pretty positive about passing Advanced higher computing, but my problem lies with maths. Im sitting the course over two years and this is my second year. I doubt i'll get a B. I've applied to study computer software at uni and thats my conditions. So if I dont get the grades, do I study maths at college or computing, before I apply again the next year? AGet advice from your present school, a counselor or your best computer teacher. Also, if you can, talk or email to admissions office or computer dept. person in the college you expect to attend. Right now, really work at your current studies, as though they were your job and you had a deadline. Your job is to learn math and computing well enough to be qualified to go on to uni. level. Your deadline is exam time. When you get to uni. level, your job will be to learn the math and computing at higher levels and be ready to apply them well. Your aim is to be ready to make good products that satisfy your clients.

Will this A-Level combination fit well if i want a career in Maths and/or Computing?Other - Careers & Employment at 23 January 2010 11:01:01 QMy a-level options are: Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Computing. However, do you think it is better if i take Physics instead of chemistry OR i do Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry as i was told that universities don't require computing a-level as they would much rather teach you it from "sractch". Thanks in advance for your answers! ADeciding on a career can be a true headache, and you need to be sure that you make the true choice because your career can affect so many aspects of your life. A friend of mine recently had a change of career and he unearthed lots of instruction from the site in the box below in advance of making his choice.

Best Answer : by Prg at 26 February 2009 05:02:27 Which of these A-Level combinations would be best for a career in maths and/or computing of some sort?Other - Careers & Employment at 23 January 2010 11:01:58 QThe a-level combinations are: Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Computing or should i do Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry AI'd imagine either would be fine for maths, I suppose computing would probably be the most helpful but the chemistry is also good because it shows you're good at a wide range of subjects and have interests outside of maths.Even for a lot of computing courses computing is not required although it would definitely help you, but since you don't HAVE to take it then really it's just a personal choice. But just to make sure you should have a look at UCAS and see what individual universities require:http://www.ucas.com/
Best Answer : by bubblemoon66 at 25 January 2010 05:01:08 I want to know about Computing bsc and Computer Science bsc,Im average at maths and want to know which is easy?Other - Computers at 28 February 2010 11:02:10 Qwhich involves less maths or involves a lower level of maths.Im good at computer hardware stuff and ok at computer software, so im going to go college to learn more about computing and then do uni AThey are both the same thing really, as they have the same course code. The amount of maths really depends on the uni, but I wouldn't advise this course if you aren't good at maths, because there will be a whole career of using maths afterwards.after all, a computer is just a machine that "does maths".
