AHi!Yes you can make the 3D menu bar as requested by your programmer. The only thing is you can't exactly produce the 3D effect on the Menu Bar itself as you won't have enough pixels to do it. You can only simulate the effect and let the programmer do the rest.You have a bar of 1 pixel by 36 pixels. Just colour the lower 5 pixels in the shade of your choice and hand it over. The result won't be spectacular but should give the desired 3D look you're after.If you want to increase the effect, using greyscale, (e.g. light grey to dark grey) colour each of the 5 pixels in ascending shades!Hope this helps! AA 3D game, whether single user or multi-users is a very large and complex entreprise.As you are asking it here, I think you do not have a clue what you are going into! (No offense!)3D engines are costly, although you can get OGRE for free.You won't get 3D modellers to design your characters for free: it can take a few weeks to design an animated model!You WON'T get coders to work on it for free: even a very simple game can cost you several thousands of dollars. If you intend to make a MMORPG, you will be one of the millions who have tried... and failed. The few who have succeeded have spent MILLIONS of dollars.And you want someone to work for free, until YOU get some money from your players? Stop dreaming.Visit the real working games, see how they work. NONE of the (successful) on-line games has been developed on a "bonus payment".Sorry...And, if you hope to get, here, the right graphist and coders, you are also dreaming: a good graphist will need serious payment, and a (real) game coder may demand a few 100's 1000's per year. Just look at the questions... They all show a very limited experience and knowledge. A few of us, experienced (less than 1% of answerers), try to give answers, but none of these is prepared to work for free...And I am not even talking about the cost of advertising...

AI know someone who does work in 3D animation who also majored in Computer Engineering. You look like you are going the right direction by working on 3D plug-in and game projects. It would be a logical step to become a technical artist. He is currently working on an animated movie in visual effects.I would suggest asking your co-workers..you are in a field that is closely related to what you want. Networking can help a lot. Also, my friend took some classes at an art college and earned an additional degree in visual effects. This may help you concentrate your skills and studies and show employers you are dedicated to the field. Of course, this also costs more money. You may be able to get a job in the field by just taking a few classes in 3D animation and getting a job since you have a programming background..but you will probably need connections. My friend also told me that at first, you will have to do a lot of contractual jobs until you gain enough experience...be prepared for that..Good luck!Addendum:I see. Well I suggest you try to get an associates or bachelors in 3D animation then. During your studies, you should try to get an internship. After your degree, you should be fine.
