QI was offered a job last week as a junior PHP Developer, they asked me a lot of questions as to what i know... i told them the stuff i know, but i feel like i dont know enough... like i dont have memorized the exact code for a lot of stuff. like, how much should i realy know for this kind of job?

QMy SQL coding is pretty good and I feel if given the chance then I can do some good SQL work, but pretty much every job posting wants a Senior developer with over 5 years of experience! Those senior developers were once junior developers just like me, but where did they start? Do I need more coding knowledge such as Python, Perl, Oracle? QHello everyone,I'm a recent college graduate with an honors diploma in software development. I've perfected my cover letter and resume, and I have a couple of interviews scheduled for next week. I've done a lot of research on both companies, and I feel that I can talk intelligently about why I want to work for them, and how I expect to be an asset to their company.I've interviewed for positions in the service industry, and I'm fairly confident in my ability to answer any of the run-of-the-mill questions. My problem is that I haven't ever interviewed for a software development position.I'm confident in my education, and I know that I'm a strong programmer, for a recent graduate. I'm just concerned that they'll be asking technical questions that I won't be prepared for. Put me on a computer and I can make software with the best of them, but I'm not sure what to expect, and I don't want to sound unintelligent.So, I'm just wondering what sorts of technical questions I can expect to hear when applying for a junior developer postion. These positions were advertised on my college's web site, and were specifically targeting graduates of my program.I would appreciate any help that you can offer.Additional Information:The positions are for .Net developers, primarily using C#. The postings didn't list any technical skills required, just the usual:- good analytical skills,- works well with others,- learns quickly,- good communication skills,- etc.

QDo you think I can apply for junior web designer/developer jobs when I am only 80 percent done with my certifications in school?(Web Developer Certificate, Web Designer Certificate, Java Programmer Certificate)The only experience I got is at school and it has been all hands on so I feel I got a good grasp. The only thing I am woried about is that I get hired and the employer will expect me to do everything right away. I got a B.A. in Electronics Engineering and work as an Engineer but want to start working with Web Development/Design as soon as possible. The reason I want to start ASAP is that I gained a lot skills at my current job (engineer) that I did not learn at school, so I was hoping the same thing would happen with my certificates.
