Aall people listed as directors of a company have control of the company in so far as making decisions about what the company can do. the managing director normally has the most shares and has ultimate control of the day to day running. other directors also have equal status though

ALimited companies are of 2 types. 1) pvt ltd co. has a limited no of shareholders who are normally known to each other. they select directors by consensus. 2) public ltd co. where public have shares and have right to vote. (equitable share holders only) they elect directors who are collectively called Board of Directors. one who chairs it is managing director vested with operational powers. based on the functions entrusted with, they are called director - fin, pdn etc.a few cos have the practice of naming the posts viz. fin director etc. they are not part of brd of directors. simply the name of the post like fin manger etc. -bharathi bhaskaran India

AWhy not? It is your business and you can do WHATEVER you want. If you want to name the family dog the CEO, there is nothing illegal about that! No one really cares (IRS, government, etc) who does what in your family business.

AIt can be formal or informal. The fact that it's your company go with what you feel comfortable with. I've worked with informal employers in healthcare and construction. Me and my co-workers were always on a first name basis with our supervisors.I'm thinking informal might be better. Because you're trusting him to run your business so getting to know each other on a personal level could be very beneficial. I'm not saying you have to pal around in the off hours but if the person has a nickname they're comfortable with call them that. If he starts to call you Miss/Mrs/Ms stop him and say just call me (your name/nickname).Being that you were able to start this business and are now doing so well you are able to hire someone to run it for you, how you address the person should be the least of your concerns. You're not just the boss, you're the owner. It's your company, you set the tone and the rest will follow.

Athe chief executive officer is the main man when it comes to the interests of shareholders, works closely with investors and monitors the market fluctuations in reference to his investors, which reciprocates into decisions he has to execute.the president is the head non financial administrative adjuster who is head over all entities in the company in which he presides over. And at last the managing director is responsible for all financial adjustments but not without consent and compilation from superiors and affiliated counterparts.

APlease be informal and say "Hai, shall strive to achieve targets"

ACEO - Chief executive officer - he is the person who take cares for the whole industry. he is part of the boards of management - 7 directors.CEO is the final authority.Managing director - he is the person who take cares of single unit of the industry. m.d. is supposed to report to the CEO.

AExecutive Director - This is a Director with a specific portfolio in the general running of the business. The Portfolio could be Finance, Marketing, Personnel or Production. He reports to the Managing Director.Managing Director - This is the Chief Executive of the organization. He executes the Board policies. He is answerable to the Chairman of the Board of Directors.General Manager - This Executive reports to the Managing Director. The execution of policies from the Board through the Managing Director falls on the General Manager.He implements these policies through his Line Managers.

AManging directors make a lot! Particularly at a big firm like deloitte. Several hundred thousand dollars and possibly millions with bonuses and incentives.
