AWell, there's really not much you can do about it, but to apply and hope you get in. If you're still in high school, you can get tutoring, and work your butt off to try and bring it up, but if you're already going through the application procedure, I'm a assuming you're a senior (or have already graduated) so there may not be time to bring it up much. Extracurriculars always look good, they show motivation, which can help alot to counteract the effects of bad grades. If nothing else, start volunteering for a local charity.If this is really the school you want to go to, there may still be options, even if you aren't accepted at this time. You can always go to a community college, work at getting the best GPA you possibly can, and try again after a year or two. Good luck, I hope everything works out.

AMiddlebury is excellent. Another that is hard to beat is Holy Cross west of Boston. At Holy Cross each year, more than 100 Holy Cross graduates (15% of the class of 700) enter law schools accredited by the American Bar Association – one of the highest rates in the nation. Holy Cross has award-winning moot and mock trial teams.

AQuite the contrary, Middlebury is one of the better liberal arts colleges in the US and is likely to be familiar to any admissions officer or faculty evaluator in a good graduate program. If your grades are good and you have strong letters of reference from faculty at Middlebury, your odds of acceptance into a premier graduate program are good. The prestige of the undergraduate institution is not the primary basis for an admissions decision, but everything else on their applications being equal, a graduate of a good liberal arts college like Middlebury would rank ahead of a graduate from an institution of lesser prestige.

Ai know middlebury has AMAZING language programs, so i would assume that their international relations department is also quite good. all three are very good schools, i don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
