20 What did Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, major in at Reed College?Corporations at 27 October 2008 12:10:02 QWhat did Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, major in at Reed College? AIn 1972, Jobs graduated from high school and enrolled in Reed College in Portland, Oregon. Although he dropped out after only one semester he continued auditing classes at Reed, such as one in calligraphy. "If I had never dropped in on that single course in college, the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts," he said.

A friend of mine (female) just reminded me that the "ipad" sounds like a feminine product. I'm getting a bad visual in my head: "Dude, can I borrow your ipad? I left mine at home." Not cool! What was Steven Jobs thinking?! ( ^ _ ^ ) Aithingy?

Steve innovates Bill copies.

Their iPhone4 is secretly connecting to the internet and they are being charged 300 yuan per hour for unknown downloads. Consumers are outraged and Apple has a great deal of explaining to do. This financial fraud by Apple will not go unpunished! Apple CEO Steve Jobs may be facing criminal charges in China very soon. This latest crime comes on top of the abuses at Apple's Foxconn manufacturing facility in Shenzhen that lead to over a dozen deaths.http://www.shanghaidaily.com/sp/article/2010/201012/20101204/article_456340.htm AAs others have pointed out, the link you have even does not work.I have spread some time searching for the correct link as shown below.Goto the search page and type in apple. The story is about one person. The article clearly states that ""Neither China Unicom nor Apple Inc is 'stealing' money from users by consuming unnecessary data traffic," insisted the engineer, surnamed Zheng, with China Unicom's iPhone Technology Center.""Zheng said some iPhone 4 users believed they turned off data traffic-consuming applications (apps) by simply tapping the "Home" button, as was the case with the iPhone 3.However, on the newer model those apps still run in the background."This running up of the bill is due to people not reading the instructions correctly and assuming things they did. This should be a lesson to people to read the manual page first.Apple only sell the hardware they make no money from the calls it makes. That does to the likes of China mobile and co.I can only assume that you meant to post a false link to camouflage your anti-western bias.
Best Answer : by Rui Chenggang at 04 December 2010 10:12:36See the 6 Answers more for this question Has anyoned switched networks to at&t just for the iPhone?Cell Phones & Plans at 10 June 2008 07:06:51 QThat's the stupidest decision I would make. If Apple and Apple CEO Steve Jobs REALLY wanted just about everyone to have an iPhone. Like he has said in the past and in various interviews and Keynote announcements, then he wouldn't contract with at&t as the exclusive iPhone provider. I love Apple products but Apple is just preventing me to get an iPhone. It's really not giving a freely wide range of buyers to get an iPhone. Apple is basicly putting a barrier for non-at&t cuctomers for the reach of the iPhone. I am not willing to pay 200$ to brake my mobile contract and switch to at&t and don't know anyone who would. So have you switched, and what do you think about this? AI know a couple users on the AT&T Forums whom switched to AT&T just because of the iPhone. Stupid if you ask me. I don't really like the iPhone and don't see why everyone loves it so much. Don't get why it is such a big deal. Maybe because it has an iPod on it? ::shrugs:: I would never switch to AT&T for an iPhone. Now if AT&T were to get the Ogo CT-25, then I would go back to them.

Best Answer : by Courtney K at 25 September 2007 08:09:31See the 1 Answers more for this question AT&T not giving early upgrade to iPhone 4?Cell Phones & Plans at 29 June 2010 07:06:32 QAt the WWDC, Steve Jobs said in his keynote speech that anyone eligible for an upgrade in 2010 can immediately upgrade to the new iPhone at the $199/299 price tags. I contacted Apple and they confirmed this but AT&T said they changed their mind (I called them yesterday). Now their website says they're only offering it to current iPhone customers. Anyone else struggling with this? I don't understand how they can go back on this offer when the CEO of Apple already publicly told the world they would do it. Also, I'll be adding a smartphone data plan so they'll be making more money off me than current iPhone customers who already have the data plan. Any suggestions on how I can get them to honor their word? I've been with AT&T for 6 years and this sorta feels like I'm getting the shaft.I just relistened to his keynote and no where did he mention it was only for current iPhone customers. He said:"I’m thrilled to also announce that AT&T is gonna make an incredibly generous upgrade offer. Their offer is going to be if your contract expires anytime during 2010, you are immediately eligible for a new iPhone 4 at the same 199/299 prices if you top up your contract to 2 years. So you can get up to 6 months early eligibility for an iPhone 4. If your contract expires anytime this calendar year, top up your contract to 2 years, and you can buy an iPhone 4 at the same price, 199 or 299, so we’re thrilled about that."Also, I talked to Apple yesterday, and here was my conversation:•You are chatting with Andrea, an Apple Expert•Hi, my name is Andrea. Welcome to Apple!•Andrea: How may I assist you today?•You: On the website it says that I'm not eligible for an iPhone upgrade at $199 until October 9th of this year, but in the keynote speach, Steve Jobs said that if I'm eligible for an upgrade in 2010, I could immediately upgrade. Did I misinterpret something?•Andrea: No, you are correct. You should be receiving the lowest price as long as your upgrade period is this year so you qualify. I recommend contacting AT&T to see if they have something listed differently.I called AT&T and the representative said at first they were offering this, but due to "equipment problems" (which I don't know if they mean technical difficulties or lack of supply) they are no longer offering this deal. She didn't even mention that it was available to current iPhone customers. I read that online today. AI'm not sure if this deal was ever offered to non-iphone customers. I think the CEO was referring to current iphone customers, not all. However, I'm in the same boat :(. It does not make sense to me but I guess we have to wait it out (maybe they will fix the problems in the mean-time?)
Best Answer : by aShLeY at 29 June 2010 08:06:31 How to understand the sentence?Languages at 12 May 2010 02:05:52 QThe following is part of what I'm reading. I find it hard to understand the clause "which looks something like a cross between an Ivy League university and an iPod". Anyone please help."Ask Apple CEO Steve Jobs about it, and he'll tell you an instructive little story. Call it the Parable of the Concept Car. "Here's what you find at a lot of companies," he says, kicking back in a conference room at Apple's gleaming white Silicon Valley headquarters, which looks something like a cross between an Ivy League university and an iPod."Is it used figuratively or something?Thank you. No Best Answer for this question yet. How is my revised movie review now?Homework Help at 20 November 2008 09:11:24 QPirates of Silicon ValleyAn intriguing character study of two of the most extraordinary individuals of our modern technological era. Bill Gates co-founder and chairman of the Microsoft Corporation and Steve Jobs the co-founder, chairman and CEO of Apple Inc. The movie is centered on the race between Apple and Microsoft in the computer world. It shows how they each fought to be the dominate computer company. The premise is that a group of young Electronics geeks in the 1970s (Gates, Jobs) saw the potential of computers when others didn't. In this film, we see the rise of the personal computer, It shows how apple grabbed the idea of the GUI (graphical user interface) from Xerox, how Microsoft got the first DOS (Disk Operating System) from the Seattle Computer Company. The most significant scene in the movie and in possibly the entire history of computers, is the deal Bill Gates made to sell IBM a DOS which he hadn’t even written yet.At what became Apple, Steve Wozniak (co-founder of Apple Computer) was a mathematical prodigy and his friend Steve Jobs was a visionary, a man who literally saw the future in front of his eyes when Xerox demo’s their GUI & mouse for him. One of the best lines comes from an HP exec talking to Steve Wozniac"What on earth would ordinary people want with computers?” This movie was well done for a smaller budget movie. There are very appropriate songs and soundtrack for the story. Knowing that you're watching a story about real people makes it all the more fascinating. I think at the end, we are really left hanging, partly because the film ends when things start to get really interesting.Pirates of Silicon Valley is a remarkable look into the worlds of Microsoft and Apple Computers. This story is fascinating for both entertainment, and historical value and is a must see for anyone who uses a computer.Does this sound better this time? No Best Answer for this question yet. What does "capacity crowd" mean in?Words & Wordplay at 10 January 2007 02:01:36 Q"This is a day I've been looking forward to for 2 and a half years," Apple CEO Steve Jobs told the capacity crowd at the MacWorld Expo trade show in San Francisco.Does it mean a crowd that fills the hall (in this case, an exhibition hall) to the full? Ayes, you're right, the crowd has filled the hall to its fullest capacity. The way the writer expressed this concept is actually very lazy - it should have been explained.
