20 Higher Education (University +) at 04 March 2008 06:03:33 QI'm trying to find a good major and was thinking that post production film special effects or special effects for photos and such would possibly be cool to do since I've done that on a small scale already but does anyone have any clue what sort of degree or college or school one would need to go to to become a special effects artist person? AIts a BA/BFA in Film or Multimedia Studies. You can check art schools like the NYU Tisch School of Arts. =)

Thank you AFor pay, go to salary.com.The two terms visual and special effects can be interchanged, but it depends on the company and what they call it.People who edit video are called editors. Programs vary. By the time you graduate, I'm sure the programs they use now will have changed. So just become famiiliar with what video editing software does and how it works, and you would be able to adapt when you graduate.
