love my family, work and playing sports. Despite my dry looking interestes I am having fun and enjoy being around people. I love playing soccer as it helps me forget all the crud around me for a little while.
- 10/2013 - PresentThe devices and technologies of the future will only be as good as the materials used to make them - and that's part of the problem. A new Purdue University research center hopes it can be a leader in finding solutions. The Purdue Center for Predictive Materials and Devices (c-PRIMED) and its focus on modeling for materials engineering dovetails with the national Materials Genome Initiative (MGI). Announced by President Barack Obama in 2011, this federal initiative will concentrate on developing methods to double the speed and halve the cost of creating new advanced materials.Purdue's nanoHUB.org, developed by the Network for Computational Nanotechnology and arguably the world's largest nanotechnology user facility, is highlighted in the White House's National Science and Technology Council report in June 2011 that paved the way for the MGI.The 18-page report, titled Materials Genome Initiative for Global Competitiveness, says: "Accelerating the pace of discovery and deployment of advanced material systems will, therefore, be crucial," adding, "Open innovation will play a key role in accelerating the development of advanced computational tools." The council's report goes on to say, "An existing system that is a good example of a first step toward open innovation is the nanoHUB.""c-PRIMED represents a continuation and a deepening of ongoing Purdue research efforts through nanoHUB.org,"05/2009 - PresentOur mission is to support the National Nanotechnology Initiative by designing, constructing, deploying, and operating a national cyber-resource for nanotechnology theory, modeling and simulation. Our mission is embodied in nanoHUB.org and driven by pioneering research, education, outreach, and community formation and growth. Our vision is to grow a diverse community that shares research and educational resources via leading-edge cyberinfrastructure that sparks new modes of discovery, innovation, learning, and engagement, which accelerate the transformation of nanoscience to nanotechnology through innovative theory, modeling, and simulation that is tightly linked to experimental research and to education.nanoHUB delivers over 2,500 resources to over 170,000 users annually. Over 10,000 users ran over 350,000 simulations on our 190 simulation tools without installing any software.12/2003 - 05/2009Lead the development of http://nanoHUB.org which served over 89,000 users in the year 2008 with information such as seminars and tutorials on Nanotechnology. over 6,700 users launched over 381,000 simulations without installing any software.02/1998 - 12/2003Establish a nanoelectronic modeling capability at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to advance and support the development of advanced detectors. Developed parallelized Mosaic and correlation imaging software for Mars Rovers.01/1998 - 01/2003Technical: Development of an atomistic nanoelectronic modeling and simulation tool NEMO3D, a genetic algorithm optimization and synthesis tool, Parallelization of Mars imaging softwareProgrammatic: Create a core nanoelectronic modeling and theory group to assist exploratory device design and optimization08/1995 - 01/1998Developed a Nanoelectronic Modeling tool for the simulation of Resonant Tunneling Diodes. The Nanoelectronic group of the Central Research Lab transitioned to Raytheon in the Summer of 1997.02/1994 - 08/1995Developed the prototypes for the Nanoelectronic Modeling tool NEMO.Show All Professional Experiences (4)
